Mailbox Installation Deadline
The deadline for the mailbox installations is quickly approaching. The Board of Director’s was able to secure an extension from the Postmaster Friday morning. The deadline to have your mailbox installed is Sunday, September 16th. The carrier will begin curb side delivery on Monday, September 17th. Failure to pick up your mailbox and install by Sunday, September 16th will result in disruption to your mail service beginning Monday, September 17th.
Mailbox Distribution
Many of you have not yet picked up your mailbox kit. It is your responsibility to pick up your mailbox kit during one of the specified distribution times. Failure to pick up your mailbox kit and properly install will result in delivery disruption to your mail service.
The remaining distribution date/time is:
Saturday, September 8th from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM
*If you cannot pick up your mailbox kit at the above time you will need to contact Nicole Wimmert (734) 320-9055 directly to make other arrangements. Should you wish to have someone pick up your mailbox kit on your behalf you will need to notify Nicole directly.*
Contractor Information
For those of you who have asked for contractor recommendations for your mailbox installation – Our new Management Company (Pinnacle Management) highly recommend “The Fabulous Mr. Fix It”. Mr. Fix It has the capacity to install several mailboxes this week (prior to the deadline) for those who are interested.
Estimated Cost
Minimum 1.5 Hour Service Call ($111.00) $74 per hour for each additional hour If you are interested, please contact Jan at Mr. Fix It (734) 944-3121. Please note: If you choose to hire a contractor to install your mailbox the complete cost of the service will be your responsibility. The Association will not pay for or reimburse any mailbox installation cost.
Temporary Mailbox Stand
Once curb side delivery begins the Association will disassemble the temporary mailbox stand and remove all temporary boxes. If you wish to keep your temporary mailbox please remove the box from the temporary stand between September 16th and September 17th. Any boxes remaining on the stand at the time of disassembly will be disposed of. NOTE: Do not remove your temporary box prior to Sunday, September 16th. Mail will be delivered to the temporary stand through Saturday, September 15th and curb side delivery will begin Monday, September 17th.
